Second mentor meeting – Guidelines for mentors

Second mentor meeting is about market research. Students have received two tasks about marketing research and customer interviews.

  1. Taking into account their idea, students have to prepare a one-pager about the similar solutions and ideas that are already on the market. Questions they should be covering are: what are the competitive products? Are there similar products? If yes, how do they differ from your idea?
  2. They have to write down questions they are going to ask from the main target group of their idea/product.

Task of the mentor is to listen to students’ ideas and give them your reflection about their work.. Ask the students to describe their idea, market research and questions for the interviews. In case they have missed a product that is already on the market, let them know about it. If they should write some additional questions among others for the interview, do not hesitate to let them know about that. Be gentle, yet constructive.

After the mentor meeting, students will start their customer research phase.
